The first of 2 sherry cask bottlings. This is the type of whisky we imagine our fore fathers drinking. Dark, heavy and dry—terribly traditional.
Nose: Quite heavy with raisins and dried fruit. Rich fruit cake, Christmas pudding with wine gums, dates with a hint of marzipan. A delicate waft of aniseed breezes in after a while.
Palate: Again very fruity, rosehip syrup. Citrus fruits. Full bodied and quite chewy with a long, fruity finish. Very dry.
Cask Type: Olorosso Cask
